This is without doubt one of the most iconic and impressive Sports Coupes to come out of the UK.

Primarily designed as a race car, the DB2 morphed into one of the most sought-after status symbols of its era.

Sleek stylish lines, Classic Interior and a true Sports Coupe.

Chassis No LML/50/114 was delivered new to Geoff C McRae in Belfast Ireland in was the only registered owner of the car until 2011.

Geoff's pleasure of driving the DB2 was obvious as in 1961 having covered over 102,000 miles, he had Aston Martin Lagonda perform a complete rebuild of the motor.
He drove the car for a further16,000 miles when in 1968 the car was taken from the road and the body was to be prepared for a full body restoration.

As sometimes happens, Geoff put this aside for a while and very little was done to the car.

In 2011 having searched the world extensively, the current owner noted Australian racing driver, and the first Australian to win the Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance Race in 1983 Vern Schuppan, could see the finished product in his mind and entrusted the transformation to experienced Adelaide restoration technician Gerard Miller at Marquee Restorations and Motor Repairs for a total Bare Metal Restoration and mechanical makeover.

The accompanying photos are testament to the thought and matriculas preparation and detail that went into the restoration.

The finished product is a gleaming example of a Flawless Restoration in stunning Almond Green coachwork with a fully refurbished, hand-crafted, Plush Connolly Leather in Sateen Bottle Green and the original timber finishes all fully refurbished.

You will want to take your shoes off to feel the Plush, English Heritage Wool Carpets between your toes.

The mechanics of the car weren't neglected either, apart from the motor which has done minimal mileage since its earlier rebuild, basically every other part of the car has been replaced or refurbished, including the 4-speed gearbox, suspension and diff.

This is a rare opportunity to fulfill that long held dream of owning one of the true, luxury sports tourers that has had the restoration that you wish you had done.

A comprehensive dossier of the refurbishment and several articles from car magazines promoting the virtues of this car will accompany the vehicle.

There really is nothing left to do but admire it and drive it as all of the love and attention is very evident.

This really is a stunning car; your most critical inspection will not disappoint.
